Purpose
ALMI is a church and association of congregations, ordained ministries, bishops, priest, chaplains, deacons, missionaries, lay ministries, individuals, training organizations and various ministries that are necessary to fulfill the word of God. All are subject to the provisions of the constitution of ALMI and its by-laws and the laws of the USA and other countries. The members of this association shall be its tithing members. ALMI is also designated as “the association.”
Corporation – Abundant Life Ministries Internationally was incorporated in the State of Alabama, USA as a non-profit International Ministry.
Benefits
Christian Networking – Being able to network around the world with various churches, ministries, and people in order to share the love of Christ, and share ideas with one another.
Training – As a member you are entitled to apply to become a student with the Chaplain Academy, which is under the Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation (JCCAE) and/or Trinity Theological Seminary (TTS). As a student, your credits earned will be transferable from JCCAE to TTS). Crisis Response, Chaplain Training in all fields, PTSD Defusing training in all fields, various Church Structure training, Homily training, Lay Chaplain training, and CEU’s courses for various professionals. Additional new training courses and updates will be an ongoing process. Trinity Theological Seminary has a catalog of course depending on the degree you are seeking. Degrees can be earned to Doctorate level with the Seminary. The Academy and Seminary have a current verbal accreditation and is waiting the finial paperwork. DETC Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as the “nationally recognized accrediting agency” for distance education institutions. The Accrediting Commission is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Minister Pool – ALMI will maintain a minister pool for minister availability for call to ministry. This pool will consist of four different categories. Ordained ministers that hold various titles, ordained deacons, students that have completed their education requirements and have been ordained, and licensed lay ministers (preach only). The license of each that is held by ALMI will be renewed annually. Background check will also be required upon application and annual membership renewal.
Chaplain Program – ALMI’s Chaplains program is world wide and all will be required to be a member of the Association. ALMI will require those that have been called by God to serve, to train through Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education, and or Trinity Theological Seminary. Both are available through long distance training as well as training locations located at various areas. Lay Chaplains will not be ordained but will be required to take various subject that prepares them for ministry in the areas they feel lead by God. Lay Chaplains can also be licensed to preach if they fill lead to do so. Homily training will also be available through the school.
Ordination for Ministry – All Applicants will be required to be a member of the Association and will be screened by the Commission on Ministry. All will have to meet mentally and moral conditions specified by ALMI. After completing all requirements to become a Candidate for ministry, ordination will occur at a physical location according to the Candidates location. No mail, internet or phone ordination will occur.
ALMI Crisis Response Team – ALMI is in the process of assembling Crisis Response Teams. These teams will be made up of trained, licensed responders and trained ordained and/or trained lay Chaplains. ALMI will be taking applications for local, state, USA, and other countries to be part of or organize a team. Once Response Teams are in place, there will be an effort to establish teams (responders from existing teams), that can respond to areas of disaster around the world.
Other Ministries – ALMI will make available many ministries so that its members can fulfill what the Lord has called them to do as well as fulfilling the commandments of our Lord and Savior. Where possible, we will partner with other ministries if their programs fits ALMI’s mission. All groups or individuals will be required to maintain in good standings a membership with ALMI (The Association).
Input – Allowing members to request areas of need to be developed to meet the needs of all members.
Legal and Moral Position – ALMI will require all members to be in good standings with the government of their physical location and with our God. This is an association fulfilling what our Lord and Savior commanded us to do, and all members shall conduct their selves as such.
Structure – ALMI will provide various types of church or ministry structure that will help you in ministry. All of this will be at your deposable as a member. You can pick from various service structures and other items. Plans are to offer song books as well as other publications in the future.
Leadership – There will be opportunities to apply or be assigned leadership in states – regions – or territories in and out of the US
Future Benefits
Insurance – ALMI is in the process of researching the availability of a group Liability Insurance Program. This would include individuals as well as church or ministry groups. At a later date, ALMI will research the availability of health, life and retirement programs. Once established, these would be available to purchase under group discounts.
